She was born in Los Angeles, California on July 17, 1992, to parents, actress Carrie Fisher and talent agent Bryan Lourd. Billie Lourd is also the granddaughter of American actress and singer Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. She is also the niece of Joely Fisher, Todd Fisher, and Trisha Leigh Fisher. Her godmother is also the famous Meryl Streep. Billie comes from a Hollywood dynasty and from strong, intelligent and extremely creative women of the arts. Her mother, Carrie Fisher's net worth was reportedly 25 million dollars until her death in December 2016. Her grandmother's net worth was also reported to be 85 million dollars as of May 2017. Although Billie's family is both very wealthy and famous, she shows herself to be a very humble and down-to-earth woman who doesn't let it all go to her head. Like mother, like daughter: Star Wars

Billie made her very first film debut at the age of 23 alongside her mother Carrie Fisher "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", as Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix. Her character, Connix is a female human who is a lieutenant and junior controller in the Resistance. The Resistance is an organization that was founded by Princess and General Leia Organa to fight against the First Order. The First Order, which is ruled by the Supreme Leader Snoke came as result of the fall of the Galactic Empire. Billie originally auditioned for the starring role, Rey in "The Force Awakens" but the role was given to Daisy Ridley and she took the smaller role as the Lieutenant. Billie had stated that the experience she had with her mother, how excited she was about it and how special she felt it was to be able to work on set with her mother. Billie will be in the next Star Wars Franchise film reprising her role as the lieutenant in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." Audiences will get to see her once again. Hopefully, she will have a bigger role. This will allow her to grab even more roles in the future for herself.

In February of 2015, Billie scooped up the role of Chanel #3 (Sadie Swenson) on the show "Scream Queens" (produced by Fox Network), starring alongside famous stars; Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer and many others. Unfortunately, on May 15th, 2017 Fox executives decided to cancel the show. The cancellation was sad for some, but Billie kept moving on, auditioning and getting new parts on other television shows. On September 5th, 2017 "American Horror Story: Cult" was premiered, Billie was able to earn a role as characters; Winter Anderson and Linda Kasabian. Billie's character on the show is the younger sister of the villain, Kai. She is a little bit of a villain herself as well. The show covers many different topics such as politics and cultural current events and ideologies. Unfortunately, there is no word as of yet if she will be in any future seasons of the Anthology series, "American Horror Story". Even though "American Horror Story" season finale has wrapped up, she has once again grabbed another role while making her own way to Hollywood and stardom in the footsteps of her famous grandmother and mother. Her latest role will be in the upcoming film, "Billionaire Boys Club" as Rosanna Tickpurth, the love interest of the character Kyle Biltmore.

Billie Lourd's mother, Carrie Fisher died on December 27th, 2016. Her grandmother, Debbie Fisher slipped away the following day on December 28th, 2016.
