Meet Michael Wolff - Author and Journalist

Michael Wolff is a well-known journalist on publications including USA Today, Hollywood Reporter, and the UK edition of GQ. It wasn't until January 2018 when Wolff's book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House", was released. Michael Wolff led a pretty simple lifestyle growing up, and it helped tremendously that his mother was a reporter herself for a long time. Wolff initially attended Columbia University in NYC and graduated from Vassar College. While at Columbia University, he worked at The New York Times as a copy boy. It was in the 1970s that his career really started to flourish and he began to pursue his dream of becoming a journalist. He produced many columns and pieces for the New York Times Magazine and the New Times Magazine. Over the following six years, he would write over 300 columns. Jumping into the 2000s was easy work for him as he was nominated for the National Magazine Award three times and won twice. He wrote for several more publications during the 2000s era, making his mark in the journalism industry.

5 Facts About Michael Wolff

He's still booming in the journalism industry

As previously mentioned, Michael Wolff is currently a regular contributor to major publications such as USA Today and Hollywood Reporter. It's no secret that his tell-all book about Trump, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House", was a successful move to advance his career. What many people don't know is that Michael Wolff also produced a DVD, which can be found and downloaded on Amazon. "Von Marx zu Darwin, Universitat Bremen" is a documentary-style film that follows the students of The University of Bremen and the political decisions made during that time that affected the student body. "Von Marx zu Darwin, Universitat Bremen" is German for, "From Marx to Darwin, University of Bremen", and is a reference to the political influencers Karl Marx and Charles Darwin.

His "Fire and Fury" book isn't beloved by all...

While it's fairly clear that "Fire and Fury" was definitely geared towards the Democratic Party to gloat upon, that leaves much more room for the Republican Party to call out some major BS in the tell-all book. Washington Post, a naturally left-leaning publication, actually posted an article questioning how Wolff's book could get past a fact-checker, and that it's not clear that the book was vetted. The article states, "Much of Michael Wolff's “Fire and Fury” is consistent with other reporting. Other parts are up for debate, and a few points in the book are clearly wrong." The article follows up this argument by stating, "Wolff wrote that communications strategist Hope Hicks was 26 when she joined Trump's campaign (correct) but also wrote that she was 26 during his transition to the White House (incorrect). He reported in the book that Rupert Murdoch called Trump an “idiot,” then wrote in a Hollywood Reporter column that Murdoch said “moron” — an indication that Wolff misquoted the media baron in one place or the other, even if he captured the sentiment accurately." So while the book may be adored by Democrats everywhere, it's definitely been put under fire by the media, pointing out the inconsistencies throughout the tell-all book about the President.
