Karla Camila Cabellow Estrabao is a renowned Cuban-American singer and songwriter. She shot to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony. The group Fifth Harmony stood in the third place on the second season of the X Factor in 2012. After that, the group was signed to a joint record deal with Epic Records and Syco Music. They released one extended play and two studio albums under the contract. Cabello established herself as a solo artist after she collaborated with Shawn Mendes for 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and with Machine Gun Kelly for 'Bad Things'. Both the numbers, 'Bad Things' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', reached the top 20 position on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in the United States. Cabello officially left the group Fifth Harmony in 2016 to release her debut solo single in 2017, 'Crying in the Club'. They both wrote the song together. This single was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Time.com included Cabello on 'The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2016' list. In May 2017, Cabello announced the release of her first studio album titled, 'The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving', which she described as the story of her journey from darkness into light, from a time when she was lost to a time, she found herself again. Her first solo single, 'Crying in the Club' was released in May, 2017 followed by a performance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Cabello joined the Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour as an opening act for many of its dates. She also partnered with famous clothing brands like Guess as the face for their 2017 Fall Campaign. Her single 'Havana' influenced new writing and recording sessions for her album and due to this the original release date of 'Havana' was postponed. This single reached number one in Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom. It reached number two in the United States. Her debut album, titled 'Camila' was released in January, 2018. It is a pop record containing Latin-influenced songs and ballads. Her single, 'Havana' stayed for 7 weeks on the top of Billboards's Mainstream Top 40 and became the longest reigning single in the number 1 position for a female artist in a lead role since Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' which had set its own record five years ago in 2013. In 2016, Cabello partnered with 'Save the Children' to design a limited-edition 'Love Only' T-shirt to help raise awareness of issues involving girls' equal access to education, health care and opportunities to succeed. The same year, producer Benny Blanco along with members of the nonprofit arts organization OMG Everywhere, helped to create a charity single, 'Power in Me'. Camila Cabello has won an MTV Europe Music Award,Three iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards and also the Billboard Women in Music Award for Breakthrough Artist.
