It was during the time that Susan Downey was working on producing a crime movie titled RocknRoller for 'Guy Ritchie' that her husband, Robert Downey Jr. paid her a visit in her office and got to know that Ritcher had a plan to release another movie called 'Sherlock Holmes.' The content of 'Sherlock Holmes' attracted Susan Downey's husband so much that he requested through his wife to be made the lead actor. His request was granted after a meeting between Ritchie and Susan Downey and that meant the couple would be working together on a project which was going to take some time to be completed. That plan became ingenious as it meant that the couple wouldn't have to miss each other since both were had roles to play in the same project. As things turned out, Sherlock Holmes became widely accepted by the public and as of today, no single work has brought as much money as Sherlock Holmes has to the couple's bank accounts. That aside, Robert Downey Jr. won his third Golden Globe Award based on his role in said movie. While accepting the award, Robert thanked Susan Downey, his wife for the role she played in getting him a chance to feature in the movie.

'Gothika' was the first movie to be solely produced by Susan Downey and it was said to be the meeting platform for her soon-to-be husband and herself. Robert Downey was finalizing the process of divorcing his first wife named Deborah Falconer when they met. At first, Susan Downey was skeptical of Robert's romantic advances because of the latter's job which has to do with acting. But just a few hours before Susan Downey turned 30, Robert proposed to her and the deal as it was, was sealed Two years after, precisely the 27th of August, 2005, they were married. Susan Downey and her husband have two children named Exton Elias Downey (son) and Avri Roel Downey (daughter). Prior to the birth of the second child, Robert in his excitement would always announce on his Instagram and Facebook platforms of the expected day of his daughter's delivery. Susan Downey is no doubt, a very rich woman. Her net worth has been estimated to be around $12 milion dollars. And the fact that Susan Downey is still in business suggests a potential increase in her net worth if she keeps keeping the flag flying. Currently, Susan Downey has stopped working for people because she and her husband now run a film business called Team Downey where notable movies have been billed to be soon produced.

Closing Remarks

Susan Downey, producer of 'The Judge' and wife of Robert Downey Jr. is indeed a woman of many parts. Susan Downey has managed to combine her career life with the everyday task of being a wife and mother and that perhaps is why her marriage is still intact to date.
