1. Jason Momoa And Lisa Bonet: Children First
Jason Momoa has wanted kids his whole life. Watching Lisa Bonet on the Cosby Show; he knew Lisa was the woman he wanted to marry. She was his dream girl. Friends introduced the couple in 2005 and they've been inseparable ever since; except for times when Momoa is on location shooting. Momoa and Bonet are soul mates, co-journeying together. Within two years of meeting, they welcomed their daughter Lola lolani Momoa and were married November 15, 2007 shortly after her birth. Then, in short succession, Bonet gave birth to their son Nakoa-wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa in 2009. When Momoa was shooting Justice League and Aquaman back-to-back, the entire family came to surprise the family man for his 38th birthday. Not bad for a man who had harbored a childhood crush on Lisa Bonet, well before he met her.
“I was definitely… that was the first time when I was like, ‘I want that one. I want her. I’m going to get her.”
Jason Momoa admitting his crush on Lisa Bonet to Katie Couric in 2014.
Canvas Of My Life: Momoa's Wife And Children Visit Set
Shooting Justice League and Aquaman in succession on location in Queensland, Australia for months at a time, was the longest Game Of Thrones and Frontier actor Jason Momoa, had been apart from his family. The grueling shooting schedule, intense physical training and the 17 hour time zone difference, between Australia and the USA, took its toll on Momoa and his family. To remedy the melancholy, Lisa Bonet and their children, Lola lolani Momoa and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, secretly boarded a flight to Australia to support Momoa and give the father of two, the much-needed respite from loneliness.
"I have never been so surprised in my life. 38 is the greatest to date. I love u my love my babies my friends and OHANA to my cast and crew. Mahalo for caring. It was so beautiful. Mahalos to all the warriors It was an honor. #mindblown. #roots #connected #mytribe aloha j mahalo @jasinboland."
Momoa says of his family visiting the Aquaman set in Queensland, Australia in 2017.
2. Frontier actor Jason Momoa And Lisa Bonet: A Modern Family
Jason Momoa, Lisa Bonet and their children, Lola lolani, 10 and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha, 8, are blended with Bonet's family from her marriage to musician Lenny Kravitz. Jason Momoa is a step-dad to actress/musician Zoe Kravitz, who is the spitting image of her mother. They are so close, they even have matching tattoos. For the record, the tattoos that read "etre toujours ivre," which means: "be always drunk." The entire family is very close. Not at all surprising, considering the Momoa family's core value is unconditional love.
Canvas Of My Life: Matching Tattoos
Both Zoe Kravitz and Jason Momoa know the importance of a good tattoo. The meaning is a personal joke between them. And that is yet another example of Momoa feeding "The Canvas Of My Life," a documentary and homage to his family - he lives it, breathes it and it is represented to everyone he calls his inner circle and laid bare, on his very skin.
“My dad and my step-dad get along really well, and my dad loves and is close with my brother and sister. It’s really beautiful. As long as everyone can be in the same room together, and have love for each other, it’s totally healthy.”

Aquaman made his splashy debut in Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
Dawn Of Justice was just an hors d' oeuvre for Jason Momoa. He's signed on for a three picture deal: Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Justice League and Aquaman. The debut of aquaman though, was a much anticipated reboot of the character of Arthur Curry, A.K.A. Aquaman. The character is embodied by Jason Momoa - tattoos, piercing green eyes, chiseled physique and torn between two worlds. Momoa said the same of his childhood. Moving to Iowa as a Hawaiian, made him feel like an outsider and it certainly informs his performance in Aquaman. Momoa relocated to Norwalk Iowa with his mother, as child. His father is of Native Hawaiian descent, while his mother is of German, Irish, and Native American ancestry.
Jason Momoa IS Justice League: The Ultimate Anti-Hero
Arthur Curry wants nothing to do with Justice League. Until he has no choice. No spoilers. And Jason Momoa is often shirtless; so there's THAT. Anyway, we digress. The re-boot of the character is cool. Jason Momoa is born to play the part and worked his ass off to get the role. Enough said.
3. Momoa Loves His Children More Than Life Itself
Jason Momoa treats his children with the same unwavering, committed and unconditional love, his mother showed him, growing up. He encourages the "sensitive savages," as he likes to call them, to express themselves fully in all areas of their lives. They are his legacy. The Game Of Thrones actor was raised by a single mom in Iowa. Like Jason, she's an artist, too. He wants to give his children everything they possibly need to expand themselves and empower themselves to live their lives fully and completely. It's a tremendous legacy.

Frontier Is The In-Between Project For Busy Jason Momoa
In between filming Justice League and Aquaman, Jason Momoa completed shooting the Netflix series Frontier. The show has been greenlit for a third series order. Momoa plays a half Cree/Half white trapper, Declan Harp, the lead role, in a show set in the 1700s, during a time in Canada's history when the fur trade was booming. The fur trade is a back-drop to the clash between the British settlement and Cree indigenous people, displaced by the new world on it's doorstep; threatening to spoil their way of life.
4. Game Of Thrones Actor Momoa And Family Are Activists
Both Momoa and wife Lisa Bonet and their children, Lola lolani and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa are environmental activists and socially conscious. The entire family stood with protesters and raised global awareness, with their celebrity to fight construction on top of sacred Hawaiian site Mauna Kea. Jason Momoa started a protest on social media called "We are Mauna Kea," which stopped the issue from just being marginalized and deemed an indigenous issue. Which in and of itself is insulting. In addition, the family had a petition on change.org for people to sign to protest the arrests of peaceful protesters and to stop TMT construction. Hats off to Jason Momoa, for raising their children to be environmentally social activists. And what's more; it was successful in stopping harmful, unnecessary construction, which would have destabilized the mountain, displaced wild-life and had a huge environmental impact to the area, beyond being ancient Hawaiian sacred land.

Ageless Love: Jason Momoa And Wife Lisa Bonet
Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet were meant to be together. Souls exist in linear and non-linear timelines. You could say that the ancient spirit inside Momoa was born to love his queen. He recognized it, the instant he saw his future wife on the Cosby Show, years ago, when he was growing into the man he is today. He just KNEW. Even though there is an 11 year age gap between Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa; it is a drop in their endless ocean. To those of us who are fortunate to meet the ONE; time has no bearing at all - there's just an ease and a sense of home. It's crude and cumbersome to describe a couple and lead with the least interesting thing about them: the age difference. You may as well just go for it and talk about their other differences - how he's 6ft 5" and she's 5ft 2." How boring is that? Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are best friends and soul mates. They live a quiet life with their family and are completely PRESENT. Their lives are surrounded by love for their children, the environment and art in all it's forms. This IS an artist's dream. A life fulfilled. A life that Jason Momoa can be proud to be the co-creator of with his queen; his home. And his mother, the artist and single mom, who taught him to be himself, is very proud.
"I was raised by a strong single mother," he says. "My mom's an artist in every way. She's a painter, a photographer. She's a wanderer -- always searching, always seeing. I guess you could say my mom gave me her eyes."
Jason Momoa On His Mother And How She Impacted His Life
Jason Momoa ARRIVED before his current fame, upon the shores of the love of his life: Lisa Bonet. With her, he has been able to create the "Canvas Of My Life." The short film Momoa created for Carhartt pants, has further increased the legend of his family. Their mutual tapestry has born them two beautiful, spirited children, Lola lolani Momoa, 10 and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, 8. There's no better legacy. Everything that springs from that homebase has empowered Momoa to reach further, artistically, than he could ever dream of. It makes him brave. It defines him. It IS him. They are ONE.
"My dreams finally came true, I'm a father. I found my place, my home."

5. Game Of Thrones Allowed Momoa To Finally Support His Family
Before being launched into stratospheric superstardom, Jason Momoa's career was one of forced servitude. He had a wife and children to support and he often took roles to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. All those years of hardship were worth it, so he could land at the plateau that few make it to: the top of the heap. And doing it on your OWN TERMS, is something money can't buy. The role of Khal Drogo, on Game Of Thrones, not only put Jason Momoa on the short-list of every movie in Hollywood, it did something priceless: it gave him ultimate artistic freedom to pick and choose his projects; not the other way around. The fallout from the success of Game Of Thrones has allowed Momoa and his family to finally be able to be comfortable. Momoa only has to take roles he wants to and THAT'S piece of mind.
Creative Life: IS The Canvass Of My Life
A lasting legacy. A family. a happy life. Jason Momoa, his children and his wife Lisa Bonet keep the circle of life endlessly spiralling and show the world what utopia can be. #squadgoals
