50 Awesome & Meaningful Family Tattoos For Your Wrist

If you are looking for inspiration or ideas for family-themed tattoos, here are fifty different ideas. These fifty ideas are featured in several categories. Dates/numbers, names, symbolism, matching and portraits.  All of these can be used by guys or gals.  They are all featured on the wrist but can easily be placed on your chest or anywhere else.

Dates/numbers

The first family themed tattoo category we have here involves numbers. Whether they are just random significant numbers or birth or death dates, these are meaningful ways to represent someone.

These tattoos display children's birthdays along with their names. Its very cute but could be troublesome if they have any more children.

Family Tattoos: number 3

Here we have a fresh take on the classic mom tattoo. It says mom in black cursive with the title topped with an elaborate crown and below that is a set of Roman numerals depicting her death date. This is particularly appealing because of the use of Roman numerals..

Family Tattoos: number: 4

This tattoo is similar to the one above but instead of the name mom just written down they took a note their mother wrote to them and traced it so they could remember their mother in a different way. Included is her date in roman numerals.

Family Tattoos: number 5

This tattoo doesn't depict a name just Roman numerals 7-4-7. This is a great way to tattoo any numbers on your body that have any significance and most likely wont cause a lot of pain.

Family Tattoos: number 6

The meaning of this tattoo represents this person's age. A system for counting the days has been used to count the years. Would also make a cool chest tattoo also.

Symbolism

Nothing honors someone more than a symbol that represents them or their essence,  possibly secret and meaningful symbol that only those close to the person would know.  An all around fun idea.

Family Tattoos: number 7

This is a symbolic tattoo and can mean many things to many people. A great symbol for a dead relative to represent being flittered away with the wind to be free. It could also mean that despite their death they will never be forgotten. It's very simple yet detailed.

Family Tattoos: number 8

This is a great tattoo symbol, featured on a guys arm, I m a fan of symbolic tattoos that don't have an apparent meaning at first glance. This could mean longevity or eternity.

New tattoo acquired! It’s a Penrose triangle with a turquoise shade. I’ve long know I’ve wanted a second wrist tattoo, but it took me over 3 years to figure out what. This impossible object represents the paradox of reality and personal development. In trying to understand reality’s true nature I’ve discovered what a strange loop it really is. The triangle shape represents many things, but of leading significance is is a representation of Maslow‘s hierarchy of needs, the pyramid of actualization. The color turquoise has a special significance of being the top level of the spiral dynamics paradigm, which is something I have become very passionate about over the course of the past couple of years. I may never reach this level personally but I will aspire continuously evolve and reach my highest state possible. While this may just be tattoo it means a lot more than just the ink on my body. May it be a reminder of the journey I’m on and all that lies ahead. ✌️

Tearing away from the more simplistic symbols here we have a vibrant depiction of  Russian nesting doll. In the middle of the doll is an anchor with the letter J and then below that in cursive "Family". This represents a surname starting with the letter J and the doll and anchor are symbolic representations of their families history.

A simple heart. Nothing could be more symbolic of love than the heart. It's small easy to procure, is relatively void of pain and can mean anything.  A well loved idea.

If I was going to get a tattoo to represent my mother this would be it. She always wanted a tattoo of a butterfly on her ankle. These are gorgeous tiny creatures that are classy yet make a bold statement.  I really admire the detail and how cute these butterflies are. Perfect for the nature lover.

Names/ initials

The most simplistic way to remember someone or honor someone through a tattoo is by simply using their name or initials.

Another way to create a permanent bond with someone you love is by going to get matching tattoos with that person. Typically done with spouses or lovers.

A lot of people consider their most beloved family member to be that of the canine persuasion. Sadly dogs mean the most to us but they don't live nearly as long.

A great couples tattoo. One depicting the sun and one depicting the moon. This may be paying homage to the theory that opposites attract.

Recycle chuyên phục hồi ảnh cũ thời ba má quần ống loe áo tay phồng. Nhận 'customize' màu sắc đối với ảnh trắng đen theo sở thích! Recycle có thể giúp bạn không? ------------ RECYCLE T♻️TTOO Inked by @tata.recycle . Someone has said that the love of a family is the greatest blessing. Well, nothing could be nearer to the truth than this statement. The family, besides being the primary unit of society, is also the first school where all of us learn the basic lessons of life. It is like an anchor that keeps us grounded and also gives us strength. This is why all of us value our family so much. We are always grateful to God for blessing us with lovely parents, siblings and relatives. The worth of a family is too great to be put into words but tattoos are a good way of expressing love and gratitude. People wear their love and pride for their family on their bodies and this is where the role of family tattoo ideas becomes significant. There are lots of beautiful tattoo designs that one can wear on the body as a mark of love and tribute. Among them, quotes and family lettering tattoos are most popular. Images and motifs are also widely used in such tattoos. /// #familytattoo #recycletattoostudio #legtattoo #ankletattoo #wristtattoo #ribtattoo #smalltattoo #recycletattoo #vietnam #saigon #besttattooinhcm #shockmansion #inkmagazine #tinytattoo #calftattoo #inkaddict #tattoodesign #colortattoo #photooftheday #oldschooltattoo #blackandwhite #blackwork #lineart #realistictattoo #minimalist #letteringtattoo #tattoomeaning

This family portrait is a representation of controlled chaos. Made to look like a messy yet artistic child's drawing the characters are stick figures with colors features in and outside the lines.  Surrounding the portrait are various child-like doodles that are adorable.
