Three-time X Games Champion Max Parrot was born Maxence on June 6th, 1994 in Cowansville, Quebec, Canada. It's no coincidence that Max has a natural talent for sports because his father Alan was an Alpine Ski racer and a champion water-ski jumper. Aside from his DNA Max has always loved being outdoors. He grew up near the ski slopes of Bromont, Canada and this is where his love for the sport flourished. Max parents took him skiing at a young age however Max didn't really like skiing because he just couldn't find his footing. Max's love for mountain sports and snowboarding all started one Christmas when a friend of his got a snowboard. Max tried snowboarding with a group of his friends and ever since then the high flying snowboarder knew snowboarding was what he was meant to do in life. He is now obsessed with the sport even though His parents aren't. Snowboarding carries a lot more risks than skiing and they were reluctant to buy him a board so they made him earn it himself.

He Worked Hard To Make His Snowboard Dreams Come True

Max took his parents words to heart and decided to not let their decision stop him. For an entire summer Max mowed lawns and saved all his earning and bought himself his first snowboard for $1,000, a pretty good accomplishment for anyone so young. At the age of ten years old he focused on becoming a professional snowboarder, and by the time Max reached the age of fifteen he told his parents of his intention to skip college to focus solely on becoming a professional snowboarder. At the age of sixteen he won his first major victory at the St-Sauveur Shakedown taking third place. Despite his drive and talent for snowboarding, Max's family and friends did not believe him when he claimed that he would become one of the greatest snowboarders of all time. He never let the negativity of his family and friends falter his ambition and dreams. Max always stayed positive and when his friends told him he couldn't achieve top ranking status as a professional snowboarder Max would respond with something along the lines of why, not? If other people can do it why not me. His parent worried about his financial future as a professional snowboarder because they didn't think he could make a living out of it but Max assured them that professional snowboarders can and do make a lot of money if they are that good. Unable to ignore the fact that their son had talent, Max's parents made a deal with him that if he finished high school they would support him for a year while he chased his snowboarding dreams but if things didn't work out Max would go to college and get a degree. He worked really hard to prove to his family and friends that he could become a professional snowboarder, and even though he missed a lot of school his senior year Max did graduate from high school. He never had to worry about a college career because once he graduated he worked full time putting everything he had to give into his snowboarding and his snowboarding career took off and this three-time X Games champion and Olympic silver medal winner has never had to look back.

Hard Work Paid Off: Growing his His Reputation, Gaining Sponsors and his Overall Net Worth

Max Parrot gains attention every time he competes and in doing so he started gaining invites to more premier competitions. This earned him even more notoriety and he eventually landed a spot on the Canadian National team. He saved all his contest earnings and worked at a golf course during the summer, and although his parents told him that he didn't have to repay them he paid them back the $20,000 dollars they spent getting his career off the ground. Max's talent didn't go unnoticed and by the age of twenty-two he was competing as a professional snowboarder around the world at events such as the 'X Games,' 'Air+ Style,' the 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Max Parrot: Three-Time X Game CHAMPION and 2018 Winter Olympics Silver Medal Winner

Max is known for his dedication and hard work, most people who know him will say he is the first one to arrive and the last one to leave when he is training. Max has also stuck to his own routine of workouts and training instead of doing what the team was doing. Most consider Max a lone wolf because he does his own thing but that's something that works for him. He also has an unconventional way of training that might just be his secret to being able to land those high flying challenging flips and that is a trampoline. Yes, you read that right, Max uses a trampoline to practice his high flying flips and apparently it's paying off. If you think about it, it makes sense because a person could definitely practice more flips on a trampoline then on the slopes. On the slopes one would need to wait continuously for the lift to take them back up the mountain and a trampoline is a lot more forgiving if you mess up and fall verses the cold hard ground, though both could give you a broken bone. Max has a physical trainer and trampoline coach but surprisingly he does not have a have a snowboarding coach. It's not because he feels he is to good for one but because he created a program that works for him and it's obviously working. In 2013 Max was the first to land a triple cork in a slope style contest and he was the first to land a back to back triple cork in a slopestyle run. In competition he was the first to land a cab triple cork 1800 in 2016 and in 2017 he was the first to land a quad under flip. While not in competition he was the first to land a double backside rodeo 1440 in 2016. Max has been dominating the Big Air and slope stlye competition and he's has taken home three gold medals and three silver medals in the X Games Big Air competition and one gold medal and one silver medal in X Games slope style competitions. He made his first Olympic debut at the 2014 Winter Olympic games at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park in Sochi, Russia and although he did not take home a medal, he did take home fifth place. Most recently Max won the silver medal in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games furthering his career, net worth and of course his collection of medals.

This high flying snowboarder keeps his private life mostly private however looking at his Instagram Max is clearly a family guy. Although in the beginning his parents were not totally supportive of Max's decision to become a professional snowboarder they stood behind him anyways and their strong family ties show through on the snowboarders social media. When Max isn't competing or training you can find him outdoors mountain biking, wake-boarding or even on the golf course. Aside from outdoor activities Max's guilty pleasure is driving his Audi A-4 fast. He also bought himself a Triumph Speed Triple sports bike which is something else he can drive fast. Sorry ladies but Max is taken. He's dating Alysson Gendron-Gallant and the two have been together for a long time so it doesn't look like he'll be single any time soon. Although not much is known about her, one thing for certain is she is an absolutely beautiful woman and Max is very fond of her. Her name appears often on the snowboarders social media as well as the fact that the two are doggy parents together to a boarder collie named Loup. Loup is also a star on social media. Both Max and Alysson have admitted to being adrenaline junkies and they absolutely love outdoor sports. Alysson seems to be the perfect girl for the high flying snowboarder and I believe Max would agree.

Sponsor and Net Worth

Max keeps a private life so not much is known about his net worth however one can assume he makes at least six figures being a three-time X Games Champion and an Olympic silver medal winner. Surprisingly he has not been plastered with sponsors but with sponsors such as Monster energy drinks, No Bad Days, Freedom 55 Financial, Ruroc and Bromont one can confidentially assume this gold and silver medal winners net worth is easily at least six figures. His parents probably stopped worrying about their sons financial future with his recent success at the 2018 Winter Olympic games and without any signs of slowing down or stopping Max will most likely be around for many more years to come. Stay tuned to watch him perfect his snowboarding skills as he dominates snow boarding big air and slope style competition. He will most certainly gain more sponsors with lucrative contracts, winning competitions, growing his wealth and securing his financial future
