Ingredients to make your own body wash

2/3 cup of liquid Castile soap- you can choose your scent preference. 1/2 cup of coconut milk- best to use an unsweetened and canned coconut milk 2 tsps. vitamin E oil 3-5 drops of your own choice of essential oils 1 tsp. honey 1.5 tsps. coconut oil *optional* add glycerin to your homemade body wash recipe instead of the coconut oil if you prefer. You may also keep the coconut oil and just add the glycerin into the body wash as well.

Steps to make your homemade body wash

Before making this amazingly nourishing body wash recipe, keep in mind that because of the use of coconut milk it should be kept in the fridge and used up in a week. If you do not foresee using the entire batch in a week you can always freeze smaller amounts of the body wash into ice cube trays. Then you can just pop one body wash cube out when you are ready. If you prefer not to freeze smaller batches you can simply halve the recipe. 1. Measure out the right amounts of coconut milk and Castile soap. 2. Add these two ingredients in a jar of some sort that you would like to store your homemade body wash in. 3. Measure out the remainder of the ingredients and add them to your coconut milk and Castile soap. *Keep in mind that the honey will thicken the soap. If you feel it needs to thicken up a bit, just add an extra 1/2 tsp. of honey. 4. Shake the body wash until it is combined. * If you would like to add the vegetable glycerin, simply replace the coconut oil with the glycerin, or you can keep both! If you decide to use glycerin, this can also thicken the body wash. In order for it to not thicken too much, add the honey first and then the glycerin in the amount you would have used for coconut oil and add more if needed.

How to find the best ingredients?

DIY'ing your own body wash can be quite simple, but you also want to make sure you are still using the best quality ingredients you can find or afford.
