Meet Bret Ernst: ex boyfriend of Iliza Shlesinger

Bret Ernst is an American stand-up comedian, similar to his ex girlfriend Iliza Shlesinger. Ernst was born in New Jersey and remained there for most of his adolescent life. He attended and graduated from Long Island University before moving to Los Angeles shortly after, where he currently resides. Ernst was one of the four comedians to be featured on Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show, in addition to being credited for multiple different television appearances. These include, but are not limited to, Comedy Central Presents and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Similar to Shlesinger, he was also the host of a dating game show called Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too during its first season. In 2016, the comedian was named #16 of the 101 Funniest Comedians Working Today by TBS.

Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show

Ernst has the privilege of being one of the featured four comedians in Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show, which was considered to be a box office bomb. The documentary style film follows four comedians plus Vince Vaughn on a comedy tour of sorts, featuring the most popular highlights from the film. The documentary also features some exclusive interviews with the comedians themselves. Ernst is best known for his roller skate bit in this specific show.

Wrestling Society X

Ernst appeared on Wrestling Society X in 2006 as a commentator. Wrestling Society X was a short-lived wrestling-based television series which formerly aired on multiple MTV outlets across the world. It focused on an unconventional approach to the concept of pro-wrestling, which was why it stood out from other wrestling series competitors.

Pretty Little Devils

"Pretty Little Devils" was a direct-to-video comedy film that was released under the official title "Legacy", for which Ernst has been credited for. Ernst plays the role of Det. Richards in this film. The comedy movie is centered around an overweight, geeky rushee found dead at the most popular sorority house on campus. The three most popular girls of that specific house then become the prime suspects in the case. The film itself is not highly rated, but does feature other famous names such as Haylie Duff and Bret Claywell.

Bret Ernst's Net Worth

Bret Ernst has an estimated net worth around the $10M mark! This speaks volumes considering he isn't even verified on his Instagram account!

Bret Ernst's Relationship with Iliza Shlesinger

While there's not much dirt on the relationship between Ernst and Shlesinger, what we do know is that Shlesinger had a lot of respect for Ernst, her ex boyfriend, as she was an aspiring comic at the time. In an interview on www.iconvsicon.com, Shlesinger states, "I also spent a lot of time with Bret Ernst when I first started doing comedy. We met and I always thought he was such an amazing comic. And as a young comic, getting to be around comics that have been doing it longer, you learn a lot of lessons from stuff like that. So I was fortunate to be surrounded by all these amazing comics. You get to kind of learn and take what you want from those experiences." Shlesinger was kind enough to credit part of her learning experiences to her ex boyfriend Ernst, which is definitely a good sign! All the best to them and whatever kind of future relationship they choose to pursue. Sources point to claims that both Bret Ernst and Iliza Shlesinger are currently single and focusing on their careers.
