Savannah Clark Guthrie, who was born on December 27, 1971, in Melbourne, Australia, was named after her great-grandmother. She completed her graduation from Amphitheater High School in Tuscon. In 1993, Guthrie completed her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Arizona.
