Vinod Khanna's Wife: Gitanjali Taleyarkhan And Kavita Khanna

Vinod Khanna was famous for his roles in the many Hindu films that he acted in. Khanna started his film career playing the role of villains, but would later become the hero. He was the husband of two beautiful women, Gitanjali Taleyarkhan and Kavita Daftary, and a father of four.

Vinod Khanna was born on October 6, 1946, in Peshawar, British India (now in Pakistan) as a Punjabi Hindu. Vinod Khanna began his acting career in 1968 after graduating college and debuted in his first film. From that moment, Vinod Khanna would go on to act in a multitude of films until his death in 2017. During his film career, Vinod Khanna was part of the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab in 1997 and was later re-elected in 1999. In 2002, Vinod Khanna became the union minister for culture and tourism and later in the same year, he was moved to the ministry of external affairs (MEA) as Minister of State. In 2004, Vinod Khanna was re-elected in Gurdaspur and later won the general election in 2014 for the 16th Lok Sabha. During his busy life, Vinod Khanna would marry Gitanjali Taleyarkhan (sometimes called Geetanjali Khanna) in 1971, and later Kavita Daftary in 1990. Between the two marriages, Vinod Khanna has four children.

Vinod Khanna was a handsome man with a warm demeanor. This made him attractive to the opposite sex. Throughout his life, Vinod Khanna had two wives: Gitanjali Taleyarkhan and Kavita Daftary. Though he shared his life with both women in different times, Vinod Khanna and Gitanjali Taleyarkhan would begin his fatherhood experience, which would be continued with his marriage to Kavita Daftary.

Vinod Khanna met Gitanjali Taleyarkhan while in college in 1968. Khanna and Taleyarkhan were later married in 1971. Gitanjali Taleyarkhan and Vinod Khanna had two sons, Rahul and Akshaye Khanna. Both of their sons became Bollywood actors. After moving to the US, Gitanjali Taleyarkhan and Vinod Khanna begin experiencing issues in their marriage and they were divorced in 1985.

Kavita Khanna was born Kavita Daftary and is the daughter of Sarayu Daftary. In his life, Sarayu Daftary was an industrialist. Kavita Khanna and Vinod Khanna met after his divorce to first wife Gitanjali Taleyarkhan. After the divorce to Gitanjali Taleyarkhan, while living in America, Vinod Khanna met and married Kavita Daftary. During their marriage, Kavita Khanna had two children for Vinod Khanna, son Sakshi and daughter Shraddha.

Unfortunately, Vinod Khanna died on April 27, 2017, due to advanced bladder cancer. Vinod Khanna leaves behind his wives Gitanjali Taleyarkhan and Kavita Khanna and four children. Neither Taleyarkhan or Khanna came forward in interviews to discuss the death of Vinod Khanna. Both the families of Gitanjali Taleyarkhan and Kavita Khanna continue to privately pursue their lives in peace.
