Sverre Lunde Pedersen was born in 1992. HE is a Norwegian speed skater and the son of former speed skater Jarle Pedersen. Jarle Pedersen is a retired Norwegian speed skater and the current coach of the Norwegian speed skating team. Sverre Lunde Pedersen is a two-time World Junior Champion and represents the club Fana Idrettslag. Jarle Pedersen took part in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and finished 6th on the 500 m. On 25 November 2009 he started serving as the head coach of the Norwegian Speed skating team after Peter Mueller. Johann Olav Koss then became his assistant. He has been a speed skating coach in the local team Fana IL. In Fana he used to coach his son Sverre Lunde Pedersen. They are going to be reunited on the national team since his son joined the team before the 2009/2010 winter season. Pedersen has done his education in the Physical therapist subject and had that role in the Norwegian Olympic team under the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. In 2011 Pedersen stood 6th in the European Championships in Collalbo and 14th in the World Championships in Calgary. In 2012 he managed to finish 7th at the European Championships, achieving a 2nd place on the 1500 m, and 8th at the World Championships.
