Emily Rebecca Kinney was born on August 15th, 1985. She is an American actress, singer, and songwriter best known for her role as Beth Greene on AMC's horror drama television series, 'The Walking Dead'. Kinney has also featured on numerous other television series, including Showtime's critically acclaimed, Masters of Sex, The CW's The Flash, and later Arrow. In 2016, she appeared in the ABC series 'Conviction', alongside Hayley Atwell. Kinney was born in Wayne, Nebraska, to Vaughn and Jean Kinney. She and her family frequently shifted to different localities during her youth, including to Nevada, Oregon, and other parts of Nebraska. Kinney studied at the New York University for a semester. In 2006, she graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater. Kinney later moved to New York, where she ventured into a Broadway and acting career.

In 2011, Kinney starred as the recurring character Beth Greene on the TV Show, 'The Walking Dead'. After spending two years on the program, Kinney got a promotion to series regular. Kinney contributed to The Walking Dead: Original Soundtrack ā Vol. 1 as a singer, in which she collaborated with Lauren Cohan on the single, The Parting Glass. Kinney ended her role on the TV Show, 'The Walking Dead' as Beth in 2014, but made one final appearance in 2015 in the ninth episode of the fifth season. The singer also featured in the 2009 comedy/romance film, 'It's Complicated'. Her role as a waitress in 'It's Complicated' was highly appreciated. Emily was seen in the 2013 drama film, Concussion. Concussion is a 2013 American drama film written and directed by Stacie Passon and starring Robin Weigert. Singer Kinney released her second EP Expired Love in 2013. It was re-released in 2014 with two additional tracks. Kinney's new single, Rockstar, was released December 9, 2014. In 2016, Kinney played as the main character for Hallmark Channel's, 'Love On The Sidelines'. 'Love On The Sidelines' was the Television movie story about a woman down on her luck who falls into a job as the assistant to a football player out on injury. On February 12, 2016, it was announced that Kinney will be joining the main cast of ABC's 'Conviction'. In mid-2017, Kinney began a relationship with singer/song-writer Paul McDonald, and the duo began their own band titled 'The Sweetheart Deal'. Kinney has her own private channel on YouTube. She uploads her latest songs on her YouTube channel and has garnered a huge fan following.
