Curly Haircuts and Hairstyles for Round Faces
There are two sides to every coin. Those ladies that have stick straight hair crave natural curls and ladies with natural curls wish for straight hair. Reason being, we all fight with our hair and try to find cuts and styles that we like. However, sometimes we should just work with what we have naturally and leave the hair drama behind.
One of my best friends has extremely curly hair and I know she struggles with what works best to highlight the curls rather than fight them. From short haircuts to long loose waves, it turns out there are many types of curly hairstyles to wear curls in ways that those with straight hair can't achieve. So check out these haircuts and hairstyles, curly-haired ladies, and see the best haircuts and just how many options you really have and play up those beautiful natural curls of yours.
1. Long-layers
Longer hair helps to elongate a round face and those natural curls help to keep some movement and life in your hair.

In the following picture, the layers are more pronounced as they begin just below the chin. The layers also help take some of the weight out of your hair to give it a healthy looking volume and bounce.

2. Pixie
Yes, even ladies with round faces can pull off a pixie cut. Keri Russell made news when she drastically chopped off her signature locks for the pixie cut below. This cut highlights all the features of her face.

3. Bob
Kelly Osbourne's locks show off a loose curl that has been cut short into a bob style. The deep side part helps to create a dramatic look that is lovely for the red carpet, or a night on the town with your significant other or your girlfriends.

4. Micro-Bob
The micro-bob is shorter than the traditional bob. This particular version of it also shows off short choppy layers that play up the model's natural curls.

5. Mushroom
This look is longer than the bob, but is still short and flirty. Again there are shorter layers playing up the dramatic natural curl.

There's nothing like the beauty of curly hair growing freely and naturally.

7. Wedge
The wedge cut has very angular lines which the model's tight curls go with wonderfully.

8. Not-quite-pixie
Meg Ryan's haircut was popular several years ago and for a good reason. It falls somewhere between a pixie and a micro-bob. This cut leaves a good amount of hair to show off those curls, while still having the effect similar to a pixie in that it doesn't hide the features of your face. This is definitely one worth trying out.

9. Short
Another haircut that is not quite a pixie and not quite a bob, this one shows off the models natural curl in a fun and lively way.

10. Long Loose Waves
Similar to the longer, tighter curls prior, these curls are looser and more wavy.

11. Middle Part with Bangs
This style is vibrant and full of life. This one is great if you tend to like bangs, or just want to give them a try. The curl here allows for wispy bangs that aren't so wispy! But, they also aren't a blunt cut either. In fact, they are really unique, and only a girl with some awesome curls can pull this off. With her hair parted in the middle and layers galore, this look just screams "I am woman, hear me roar."

13. Aymmetrical
I'm always a fan of asymmetrical haircuts. They just bring so much life to anyone's hair, really. But when you pair asymmetric layers with curly hair, talk about a winning combination. Additionally, the angular cut helps to create a contouring effect for round faces.

14. Asymmetrical Short Bob
This cut is similar to the asymmetrical cut, but is a much shorter version. Fun and lively, Alyson Hannigan's bright red hair is glorious with this short cut.

15. Cropped
Here, Raven-Symone' combines short, choppy layers and highlighted bangs for a curly cut that is great for a round face. Bangs help to diminish a broad forehead, and the choppy layers help to contour the roundness of cheeks and jawlines. The length of her bangs here also make her eyes really stand out and her lovely smile.

16. Side Swept Bangs
The model below combines the short, loose curled bob with side swept bangs for a dramatic look. Side swept bangs are a great option for round faces as they help to diminish the forehead.

17. Loose Curls
Not all curly haired girls have tight curls, and Drew's long loose curls are a great option for those who fit into that category. Often, middle parts don't work well with round faces, but with big loose curls, her eyes, cheekbones, and smile are all highlighted.

18. The Marilyn
Keri Russell trades in tight curls for loose locks resembling the old school glamour of Marilyn Monroe. Layers and side swept bangs add to the drama.

19. Faux Hawk
The faux hawk looks great on this model with her full, tight curls. The very close cut sides make the curls on top stand out. If you want to make a statement and rock a unique style, this is a great go-to!

Kathryn Heigl's loose curls paired with a bob and a side part are reminiscent of retro glam. This is definitely one way to make every day glamorous.
