8 Tips on Prettifying your Eyes with Mascara Makeup

Mascara forms an integral part of anyone’s make up kit as even with minimal makeup, doing up the eyes with mascara can add so much to one’s appearance. Mascara creates a doe-like impression of bigger or wider eyes when the lashes are pulled away from the eyes and touched up. 

Bigger eyes have always appeared more attractive and that probably explains why mascara is so important. However, owning mascara is just a small part of the beautification process. You can mess up your whole appearance if you don’t apply it right.

If you use eye shadow or eye liner, be sure to apply these first as mascara will flake or smear if you use it before everything else. The right steps to your eye make-up routine should be – eye shadow first, followed by eye liner and finally mascara to bring it all together. It’s usually better to start with the lower lashes to prevent any dots from appearing on your eyelids if you have a tendency to look down. Move the wand back and forth over the lower lashes while holding the wand perpendicular to the eye. 

Use an eyelash comb or a clean toothbrush to remove clumps. Clumps can be avoided by wiping the mascara wand with a tissue if there is any excess.

Use a q-tip to get rid of any flakes or smudges after you have applied your mascara.
