A Quick and Easy Guide on How to Exfoliate for Men

Exfoliating is a key concept for everyone and not just women, it is equally important for men to exfoliate in order to keep their skins healthy. Most men unknowingly exfoliate their skins by following a daily shaving routine. However, we believe that you could enhance this skin care routine by following a few tips on a daily basis. We have found that if you exfoliate your skin right after you have taken a shower or have washed your skin, you will see the best results.

Some men use aftershaves as exfoliators and while it helps, we also believe that if you use actual exfoliators before you are about to shave, and just after you have dampened your skin, you will see that your skin will turn softer and smoother after the shave.

Guide for men on how to exfoliate their back

Exfoliating your face, your arms, legs, and hands is important but what we often forget is that exfoliating our back is just as essential. We understand that it may be hard to reach when you have no one to help you, but this doesn’t mean there aren’t ways that could help you achieve what you have been looking for.

All you need to do is get a natural bristle brush, with a long shaft. When you exfoliate you want to make sure that you get rid of the dead skin that keeps piling upon your natural skin. The bristle brush would help you reach the unreachable parts of your back. You could wet the brush and gently scrub your back with the brush before you take a shower so that you can clear of any dead skin while showering.

During the shower take any men’s body scrub and use the bristle brush to rub the scrub all over your back. When your body is wet, it becomes easier to scrub off the dead skin. Body scrubs often contain little particles that help remove the dead skin while making your skin soft and smoother. You often use scrubs on your face, your arms and even your legs but you overlook using scrubs for your back, where there is more accumulated dead skin than anywhere on your body.  You can use a loofah to do this in order to get the desired results.

There are also back exfoliating bands/towels available in the market to help you keep your back healthy and clean. You should hold the ends of the exfoliating band in each hand and hold it over your head and lower it to your back so you can slowly move it up and down your back, massaging your back, and rubbing off any dead skin cells that have been accumulated on your back.

How to exfoliate men's beard

If you think that having a beard means being as low maintenance as possible, and then let us tell you, you couldn’t be more wrong! Facial hair makes it very easy for bacteria to start building up under all the hair, and sometimes you don’t even know anything about it. Bearded areas are more common for getting affected by acne as compared to people with less or no facial hair at all. While it may sound troublesome but if you follow a skin care routine you may be able to eliminate any bacterial build up under your facial hair.

The first thing you need to do is make sure you are mindful of how you shave your face. Make sure all your products are well in their best before dates, and of top notch quality, with your skin you can never be too careful. You cannot risk using products that are compromised on their quality because that will result in infections, bacterial build up, and acne that will be both unhealthy and uncomfortable for you and your skin. You shouldn’t reuse your blades too much, and replace them weekly in order to make sure your skin isn’t in contact with too many germs all at once.

How to exfoliate men's face

Men with their tough schedules and outdoor activities are more prone to accumulating dirt particles on their face as compared to women, which makes it even more important for men to take care of their faces, and their overall skin to prevent it from long term damage. We don’t realize but the traffic pollution, and the sunrays often damage our skins in the longer run even though it might not always be evident enough for you to detect.

These dirt particles often produce acne, wrinkles, and inflammation along the skin. When you exfoliate your skin you end up giving it the moisture and the care it need, along with making your shaving process more beneficial as exfoliation will reduce marks, wrinkles, and prevent your skin from forming rough, dry patches. Men should exfoliate their skins at least twice a week in order to produce evident results, and it should be done before shaving instead of doing it afterwards.

We would remind you to remain gentle on your skin when exfoliating, do not continue to foster the myth that men skin is tougher than women, when removing dead skin and dirt particles, all skin needs to be taken care of with gentleness.
We are going to give you a list of exfoliators that will help men in their weekly skin care routine, which have proven useful for men in the past, some of these include:

Once we make exfoliating a part of our daily routine all these problems are easily addressed.

In order to make the process of exfoliating more effective we need to make sure we are using the right tools, the right products, the right amount of pressure, and the frequency of exfoliating our skins. There are various ways men can make this part of their routines, such as exfoliating right before they shave, and moisturizing immediately after you shave or take a shower.
