TV Show - The Bachelor

The Bachelor is a famous American dating and relationship reality TV show that was first aired in 2002 on ABC. The show is hosted by Chris Harrison. The show was a success right from the first season and has resulted in several spin offs since 2002 till 2018, including The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise. In this show, in hope of finding his true love and life partner, a bachelor dates a group of women over several weeks. These women compete in a series of challenges that eventually prove their compatibility with him.

Contestant Chelsea Roy

The show has just begun to air its 22nd season on ABC and there is one woman who is already staking her claim as the potential villain for the rest of the season. This infamous Chelsea Roy has already managed to garner plenty of haters. Let’s find out all about her. Chelsea Roy, 29, sparked negativity with her fellow contestants when she stole Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. away from all of them that too, twice in one night, while the other women did not even get a chance to speak with him. Later, she became very judgmental and scrutinized and bad-mouthed many other women in front of the other fellow contestants. A girl, Bekah, who showed up in a classic red Mustang was not only judged by Chelsea and also referred to another woman named Maquel who showed up in a race car as the 'girl who makes all the noise' for interrupting her time with the Bachelor. Chelsea also joked about another woman named Lauren as someone who showed up to the house premiere night. The others did think that the way Chelsea Roy was playing, that was exactly a good way to let the Bachelor think that she can play well with others yet her bold tactics on the premiere night did lead her to get the First Impression rose from the Bachelor and boy she was thrilled! The promo for the rest of the season teases that Roy will be getting into more drama with the other women in the house! She's seen telling other contestants, "I'm not a b----," while defending her right to be on the show. Chelsea is a single mother. She has a three-year-old son named Sammy. She shared a lot of photos with her son on Instagram and Twitter. She said in an interview that she shares the custody of her son with her father and so she gets some time for herself. She was very happy when she came to know that Arie was the Bachelor on the premiere episode as she felt that he was competing for the heart of a single mother. She went to community college and is from South Portland, Maine. Chelsea Roy studied at South Maine Community College and currently works as an administrative assistant for Keller Williams in Portland, Maine. Chelsea came on the show because she was submitted by her friends for "The Bachelor." "After the separation from Sammy's dad, my girlfriends kept harassing me that I need to go on 'The Bachelor,'" Roy told in an interview. "I never listened to them, and I've never really watched the show before, except with girlfriends having a glass of wine at their house.'" The 29-year-old said her friends gave her one piece of advice. "They said, 'Chelsea, just be yourself. You are going to win him over.' That felt good to hear because where I am now, today, is probably the most happy I've ever been and the most confident I've ever been," she added. She's into tattoos. Chelsea Roy has two simple 'wave lines' tattoos on the sides of the palms of both hands. Chelsea Roy loves shoes. For the show, she got an entire duffle bag full of 20 pairs of boots, sneakers and dress shoes. Another interesting find about Chelsea Roy was that she can longboard. On her Instagram and Twitter accounts, Chelsea has posted several photos of herself on a longboard alongside her son ready to take off. Chelsea Roy seems very determined to win over Arie on the show and she will not let the other girls get in her way. She showed her first streak on the premiere episode itself. She let the other girls know that she meant business by grabbing away Arie first for a conversation. She later got lucky with a kiss and a second conversation that got her the First Impression rose from the Bachelor. In a preview for the rest of the season, Roy made it clear she's there to win and she doesn't care about what the other girls think. "I'm making bold moves because, being a single mother, I deserve more time than others," said Roy to several of the women. Unsurprisingly, her case fell upon deaf ears. One of the other contestants, Bibiana, was shown storming off saying, "If I'm trying to talk to my man, you better back the f--- up." What exactly the clip had to show will be known only when we see the show as it could be some clever editing. Regardless, it sounds like there's going to be a lot of the usual drama this season between the other women and the villain Chelsea. She has been termed as the villain in the show right at the beginning. Let’s see if we get to see a change of image of Chelsea Roy.
