Graco Car Seat and Stroller Range that Suits your Family

When it comes to babies, one of the million decisions you have to make is which car seat and stroller you should buy that are both convenient and safe, while not too pricey. Things you’ve never thought of, like seat harnessing, or coverage of the canopy, or even maneuverability, need to be considered carefully before picking the right ones. On the other hand, you also need to consider easiness of use (think folding stroller one handed while carrying a shopping bag), amount of space required to park stroller in the house, and most of all the number of times you will need to change the baby from one to the other and back.

Furthermore, you need to consider how you are going to use the stroller. Is your idea of strolling with the baby a leisure walk in the park, or are you considering exercising while taking the baby out? And then, are we talking brisk walking or full fledge jogging? And are you planning on taking long walks, or simply running some errands with the baby? Graco has a wide range of car seats and strollers, at pretty affordable prices, you might want to consider before making your decision. However, their best offer probably lies on their travel systems, that include both a stroller and a car seat, allowing you to take the baby from the stroller to the car with one click.

Graco Car Seat Travel System

Travel systems have great advantages, other than price, namely, they can serve as a primary stroller and you can use them from birth (4lbs) till toddlerhood (50-60lgs). You don’t need any other strollers, because right after the birth you can stroll with your baby in the included infant car seat that connects to the stroller due to their click-connect technology, and then as the baby grows you can switch it for the standard toddler seat. Let me present you with a few possible options of the Graco Travel System to whet your appetite.

1. Graco Modes Travel System

Their most popular model includes the rear-facing SnugRide Click Connect 35 Infant Car Seat, seating infants from 4 (birth) to 35 lbs (around 24 months), and up to 32”. The stroller is reversible, allowing your baby to face you in the first months, reclines flat, allowing you to create an infant carriage when needed, and becomes a forward-facing toddler seat for later.

It also includes some extremely convenient features, you’ll probably only enjoy while in the process of using them, namely, one-handed standing fold, lockable front-swivel wheels for better maneuverability, pivoting child’s tray and a handy parent storage tray.

2. Modes Essentials Travel System

This is the ultra-lightweight version of the previous Modes model, and it is a lightweight also on the price. It includes the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 30 Infant Car Seat and presents the same seating possibilities as its heavier counterpart. With its ultra-slim fold, storage is not an issue, and the extra-large basket allows for extra convenience when strolling with the baby.

3. FastAction Fold Jogger XT Travel System

This is not your regular stroller, FastAction Fold Jogger is the ultimate crossover stroller, and the travel system includes the SnugRide SnugLock™ 35 LX infant car seat. It combines the comfort of the conventional stroller with the versatility and maneuverability of a jogger. Apart from the usual Graco innovative convenience features, it boasts the Fast Action fold - the one-second, one-hand fold, for improved convenience, and the Click Connect technology for a one-step, secure connection of the infant car seat to the stroller. With long strolls, or more energetic ones, in mind, this stroller/jogger has a extra-large, expandable canopy, with peek-a-boo window, to keep baby shaded and protected, reflectors for added visibility even in low-lighting conditions, and by locking the front-swivel wheel you can easily transition from strolling to jogging in no time.

4. FitFold Jogger Travel System

This model is Graco best choice when it comes to jogger strollers. It is the most compact of all jogging strollers, folding down to 70% of its original size, while conveniently using the one-second, one-hand FastAction technology. The air filled larger rubber tires, and the custom made rear wheel suspension offer a smooth ride on most terrains. Fully prepared to take you on longer strolls, or jogs, it offers a large canopy with visor to protect your little one from the sun, as well as a large storage basket to keep all your essentials. It includes the SnugRide SnugLock™ 35 LX infant car seat, but accepts all Graco® Click Connect Infant Car Seats with one click attachment to strollers.

You have just changed your newborn into their night garments, right after a warm bath and well-fed, and now your child is falling asleep in your arms.

Graco Click Connect

Graco developed the Click Connect™ technology that provides a one-step, secure attachment of the infant car seat into the stroller so you can easily change your child from the car to the stroller without actually removing the child from the seat. When you hear a “click”, the car seat is in a secure position on the stroller and you are good to go.

All of the Click Connect strollers are compatible with all of the Click Connect Infant Car Seats, and the SnugRide SnugLock Infant Car Seats, so you can create the travel system that better suits you and your baby.

This technology is exclusive to Graco, so it’s impossible to connect an Infant Car Seat with from another brand with similar technology to a Graco stroller, or a Greco Infant Car Seat with Click Connect to a stroller from a different brand. Be aware that not all of Greco Infant Car Seats have this technology, so look for the logo that clearly states it is a seat or a stroller with Click Connect.

Graco Double Stroller

If you happen to have twins, or if you have an infant and a toddler, your best bet is going for a double stroller. Made to fit 2 infants, or an infant and a toddler, due to its versatility and multiple seating positions, the double strollers offer all the convenient features of a single stroller (one-hand fold, click connect system, the lockable swivel  front wheels with suspension for superior maneuverability, etc.) multiplied by two.

The most interesting feature is its stadium-style seating, which allows the child sitting in the rear to be slightly raised and enjoy a better view.

This car seat boasts Safety Surround Side Impact technology, engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed US standard FMVSS 213, meeting both Graco Side Impact Testing, and Europe’s Side Impact standard. In addition to meeting or exceeding all applicable US safety standards, the Milestone car seat has been side impact tested for occupant retention solely with the built-in 5-point harness system and its steel-reinforced frame provides strength and durability. It also offers the InRight Latch system for an easy, one-second latch attachment, making it easier for you to keep your child firmly attached. Graco advises attaching the seat to your car using their 5-point harness system for extra security.

This is the car seat that will truly grow with your child, going from 5 to 100 lbs. It can be placed in a rear-facing position, that pediatricians recommend for at least the first years (5-40lbs), or on a front facing position, afterwards (22-65lbs), and can even become a belt-positioning booster seat for later (30-100lbs). It offers the Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, that allows you to adjust the harness and headrest together, for an always-right fit, and the Safety Surround Side Impact Protection will provide the best head protection at every stage. It also proposes a 4-position recline, in both rear- and forward-facing modes, sure to keep your child snug and comfortable.

Before making your choice, reflect a bit on your own needs, considering your lifestyle, as well as the space you have available both on your car and on your entryway. If you’ve never jogged before, buying a jogger, though so much more fashionable these days, might prove a mistake in the long run, as it takes up more space than a regular stroller – just consider the much bigger wheels. Inversely, if you are indeed a jogger, buying a regular stroller, though usually cheaper, will make it impossible for you to continue with your hobby.
