She was one of the most well-known stars to exist and her bio boasts even more accomplishments. Not only are her family members remarkable but her godmother is Meryl Streep. Carrie ended up writing a tell-all book about her family life. 'I told my daughter: your father's gay, your mother is a manic depressive, your grandmother's a tap-dancer and your grandfather took speed' - An excerpt from her book "Is My Life Crazy Or Am I?" The book tells the truth and puts a comedic spin on the drama and heartbreak throughout her life. She made sure that everything she put in the book was truthful, but also not too revealing according to those she loved around her. She joked a lot about how her daughter Billie was the adult in the family, and that she was very stable. She attributed that to her stable home life and how both of her parents were very dedicated to letting her know they loved her. According to an interview she did in Town and Country magazine with Sarah Paulson, her favorite roles regarding her mother and grandmother were mentioned. "For my grandmother, The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She is unreal in that. And then Behind the Candelabra, the Liberace movie. It’s so underrated. What was great is that they would do roles that they thought I would like. She did Halloweentown so that I could see her in something. She did an episode of Rugrats, too. As far as my mom’s roles, it would be Hannah and Her Sisters." Her father is legendary agent Bryan Lourd, who represents celebrities like Chris Hemsworth and JJ Abrams. Carrie and Bryan were together from 1991 to 1994. Bryan revealed he was gay and went on to marry Bruce Bozzi.

Billie Was Embarassed By Her Grandparents
There is no doubt that her grandparents were not normal. Debbie Reynolds was known for tap dancing at any moment and Eddie Fisher was known for breaking out into song. According to her mother, Billie would omit telling her grandparents when there was a grandparents day at school because Debbie would always show up in full Hollywood makeup and hair, and Eddie would just about do the same. She used to envy the plain "grey haired" grandparents, and their quiet nature. Carrie was very understanding with Billie's embarrassment, remembering that she had to grow up even closer to those very same people. She made sure that she didin't make embarrassing mistakes like her parents. Whenever she wrote a tell-all book she made sure there was nothing in there that bothered Billie or put her in the spotlight further. Despite all of her considerations, her stories always remained truthful. Carrie always taught Billie to always tell the truth in interviews.

She also met the creator of Scream Queens Ryan Murphy while at a party for her Grandfather. She had no intention of attending the party but ended up going after persuasion and was seated next to Murphy. Murphy was very interested in what Billie was doing with her life and when she told him she was setting up auditions to try and be an actor he offered her a role in Scream Queens on the spot. According to Billie, "I thought he wanted me to audition, and so I was just very relaxed and casual about the news. I didn't think he wanted to hire me, I knew that's not how things worked. The next day, they told me, you know that offer you didn't sound too excited about? It's an offer, not an audition. I flipped out. I didn't know how he was doing this! The next week I was in New Orleans."

I love being my mother’s daughter, and it’s something I always will be, but now I get to be just Billie."
