Ivanka Trump- from model to presidential aid
Ivana Marie "Ivanka" Trump an American model, author, fashion designer and businesswoman, who is an advisor to the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Not only that, but she just happens to be his daughter, as well. She began modeling when she was 14 and ever since she's been appearing on nearly every magazine in the print market. She's been seen on the cover of 'Seventeen,' 'Harpers Bazaar,' 'Forbes' and many others. She's also advertised 'Tommy Hilfiger,' 'Sassoon Jeans,' and she's modeled runway fashion for Versace, Marc Bouwer, as well as others. Her father didn't approve of her career choice to model but he left it up to her boarding school to decide if she could. They agreed as long as she kept her grades up. She originally wanted to perform on Broadway so she left modeling after high school stating that she was tired of it and her real passion was real estate. After college she worked for a real estate firm not related to her family and forged her own reputation and name for herself before she stepped up to the vice-president role at the Trump Organization. When we say this, we mean of course, the real estate business, not the presidency. In 2017, Ivanka Trump began serving in the presidential administration and the reason she took the position was to counter her knowledge of affairs of the country passed on by the president so there wasn't an ethics concern. We do believe however, that she came by the job rather easily. After all it is who you know in office that gets you the job.
For most of her life, Ivanka Trump has been nicknamed "Ivanka," a form of her birth name and mothers name, Ivana. Her parents Donald and Ivana Trump divorced when she was young. They had two other children together, Donald Jr. and Eric. She also has a half-sister Tiffany and a half-brother Barron. Tiffany is the daughter of Donald Trump and Marla Maples and Barron is the son of Trump and his current wife Melania. Ivanka Trump attended Chapin School in Manhattan then she transferred to Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. After graduating from Choate Rosemary Hall, Ivanka Trump went to Georgetown University for two years, then transferred to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, from which she graduated Cum Laude in 2004. She received a bachelor's degree in economics.
Ivanka Trump married her husband Jared Kushner and together they have three children Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore. Before marrying her husband, Ivanka Trump converted to his religion of Judaism. She follows the religion strictly and though same may think different, this was not something done to gain his parents approval for their marriage. Jared shared the same position as Ivanka when they met, as he was a part of his father's wealthy real estate company. They were both sent to see if they could make a deal with the two companies but they fell in love instantly at that business meeting. They both are into working late and make a habit of sharing the work load at their home. Following the Sabbath, they took it a bit further by not using their phones all weekend. This is when they turn their attention to their children.

"Tonight, as we light the menorah, Jared, Arabella, Joseph, Theodore and I wish everyone celebrating a Happy Hanukkah!"
Ivanka Trump: Fashion designer, model and writer
It's no surprise that Ivanka Trump has television experience given that her father was a television celebrity. He created and hosted a top running television show you might have heard of, called 'The Apprentice.' She started out hosting the Miss Teen USA pageant, then she subbed as a judge on her fathers show, where she remained for the rest of the season. Ivanka Trump also appeared as a guest judge on 'Project Runway' in 2006 and a few years later she and her husband played themselves on 'Gossip Girl.'
Ivanka Trump authored and published her first book, 'The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life' in 2009. It was a self-help book about how to be successful as a woman working in a man's world Ivanka Trump continued on the self-help path with her second book, 'Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success.' Once again, this book taught women all over the world how to be successful when competing with a man for the top spot in the company they might be working in.
Ivanka Trump has her own fashion brand, making her a very popular fashion designer. She hasn't worn any shoes other than her own brand since it was started and she doesn't buy shoes from other designers. Not only has Trump created a literal fashion brand for women but she's trying to redefine the brand of women in general. She said she "believes in empowering women and that she wants to work for the women. She wanted to transfer her idea, her beliefs of life into fashion and therefore, created the brand "Women Who Work"."
Her net worth
It's no surprise that Ivanka's net worth is what it is because after all, she is fourth generation Trump. From her modeling to her families companies, her overall net worth is $300 million dollar. That net worth of $300 million dollars does not include any of her father's money or even her husbands money. Her father Donald Trump has a net worth of $3.1 billion dollars and her husband Jared Kushner has a net worth of around $400 million dollars. All of them contribute most of their wealth to real estate. Ivanka isn't the only child of Donald Trump to amass a large amount of money. Her brother Donald Jr is worth around the same as her- $300 million dollars and the same goes for her other brother Eric. Her half sister Tiffany is worth $10 million dollars, and her step mother Melania is worth $50 million dollars.
2016 Presidential Campaign
Ivanka Trump has been supporting her father's presidential campaign since day one. She was extremely involved by making speeches and appearances and serving as his consult. She also helped him down what she believed was the right path for his judgment about women. She was also her fathers advisor in his life before the presidency so it wasn't a difficult leap for her to make. She knew that she would be helping him after the election as well. She stepped down from her position at the Trump organizations to follow her father to Washington DC. At first, she was just advising him as a family member would, with no real job or title but this caused a security problem. All who are legal advisors to the POTUS or within the government are bound by various limitations and laws. To appease the laws she became the official Advisor to the President.
Ivanka Trump appearance at the Republican National Convention where her father was announced the official Republican candidate for president. She introduced him and was open and honest about her political past and was able to make her father look softer and more appealing.

Charity work
Ivanka Trump has worked with many charities, including several Jewish charities, 'AIDS LIFE,' 'Children's Aid Society,' 'Habitat For Humanity,' 'United Cerebral Palsy' and 'Walkabout Foundation.' She also supports whatever political candidate she believes is best for the job rather than voting just within a political party. In 2007 she donated to Hilary Clintons campaign and in 2012 her contributions went to Mitt Romneys.
Ivanka's latest book, Women Who Work reached shelves in 2017. She pledged her profits from the book to various urban charities. Specifically $100,000 each to the National Urban League and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Friends with the enemy
Ivanka Trump tries to become friends with the enemy though sometimes she isn't successful at what she tries to do. Ivanka Trump became close with Paris Hilton as a child. It was an odd friendship since her father was also in the hotel business. Not only was she friends with a Hilton she's been a close friend of her fathers most challenging opponent's daughter, Chelsea Clinton. Hilary was the only force between Trump and his Presidency. Despite the conflict, their friendship seems solid and Chelsea once stated: "There's nothing skin-deep about Ivanka. And I think that's a real tribute to her because certainly anyone as gorgeous as she is could have probably gone quite far being skin-deep."
There are a lot of critics that criticize Ivank for supporting her father because of the rumors of his sexism but Ivanka Trump is very adamant that her father is not gender biased. She was quoted as saying "Look, my father is very blunt. He's very direct. He is not gender-specific in his criticism of people, and people that he doesn't particularly like or people that he does like but thinks they're wrong on a particular issue. So I don't think that he's gender-targeted at all. Like I said, I wouldn't be the person I am today, I wouldn't be a high-level executive within his organization if he felt that way." .
Her life today
Ivanka Trump is working with Marco Rubio on trying to convince Republicans to get involved in the issue of paid family leave. Paid family leave is typically a democratic issue that Republicans typically are against. They are against it because of the assumed tax increase that would be needed to implement it. This time, however, they are pushing for something that would not be a mandate or raise taxes. Rubio has been working on a bill involving paid leave, saying, “We still have to work on members of my own party, I think there will be significant initial resistance to it because it’s just not an issue that’s been identified with the Republican Party.” Ivanka Trump is also currently in South Korea leading the USA delegation through the Olympics closing ceremonies.
Ivanka, like her father, makes use of the popularity of her social media accounts. She posts regularly on Twitter just like her father. His favorite social media site has caught most of those working with in the presidential circle's attention. It's a great way to get across announcements and gather feedback quickly.
