Unless you live under a rock, you are aware of the attention “Black Panther” is getting. Its opening day grossed high at the UK and Ireland Box Office and the film has been gaining since then. The movie, which was directed by Ryan Coogler, received a lot of praises from all over the world for being groundbreaking for the all-black cast which is very rare in Hollywood. So, Boseman, who plays the role of Wakanda’s king, had something to say about the movie. The actor discussed the influence the movie has on the younger generation, and poor Boseman could not hold back his tears. He narrated the heartbreaking story of him being unable to speak and co-stars Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o comforted him. It has become personal for Boseman watching the kids experience the movie.
Two kids died of cancer
He remembered two little kids, Ian and Taylor, who died of cancer and through the entire filming, he felt like he was communicating with them. Before they passed on, the kids had told him that they were holding on just to watch the movie. Boseman broke down after that. He then went ahead to the point that he was aware that the “Black Panther” fans were looking up to him and he pushed himself harder. Seeing his castmates being devoted to the film also touched him and Boseman was very grateful that they didn’t want to disappoint their fans. The actor was glad that it was something significant to the other actors and it was a humbling experience for him. He mentioned that it was not just the two kids that had embraced the movie, but the whole world and he was so proud of that.
Facts about the Black Panther actor
Boseman has the best suit
Although everyone has his own favorite superhero from the Marvel Universe and claims their superhero of choice has the best costume, an analysis would reveal that the costume that Boseman wears is the best. When it comes to the purpose of wearing a suit and the advantages it gives to the wearer, then Boseman wears the best. A good suit should protect the wearer from the enemy attacks and conceal their identity if it’s vital for the wearer. The suit should be comfortable and have no loose parts. Suits with underwear on the outside are the worst. So, Boseman’s suit takes the credit.
He knew that someday Black Panther would come
When Chadwick Boseman was called by Kevin Feige telling to notify him of his role in “Captain America: Civil War,” he knew outright that the role was there to prepare and introduce his character in the film before creating a standalone movie of his character afterward. However, the co-stars of “Civil War,” had no idea of what was going on.

We have seen many actors playing Superman and Batman, but it reaches a time when the actors allow the curtains to fall on them and rise for the younger actors. Djimon Hounsou voiced the superhero in an animated series in 2010. Black Panther would have been on the big screens sooner, but the project never materialized. The first attempt was in in the 90s and the second one was supposed to star Wesley Snipes in 2004.
He had to have an African accent
Chadwick Boseman trained to have an African tongue to fit well for his role. Most of the time, actors are trained to have a European accent and this was different. Boseman stated that an African accent was as classical as a British one and all the aspects of the character had to be shown through the accent.
