Sven Kramer was born in 1986. He is a Dutch long track speed skater who has won all-time record nine World Allround Championships as well as a record nine European Allround Championships. Kramer is an Olympic champion of the 5000 meters at the Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 Olympics, and he has won 19 gold medals at the World Single Distance Championships including eight in the 5000 meters, five in the 10,000 meters, and six in the team pursuit. Kramer is the current world record holder in the team pursuit and broke the world records in the 5000 m and 10,000 m three times. After winning the 2010 World Allround Championship, he became the first speed skater in history to ever win four consecutive world allround championships along with eight consecutive international allround championships. He has remained undefeated in all the 18 international allround championships he participated in since the beginning of the 2006/2007 season. Speed skating career
His junior career started with the 2004 season wherein Kramer stood second at the Juniorallround world championships. Same year, in December, Kramer won the Dutch Allround Championships when he was just 18 years old. He was thereby qualified for the European Allround Championships and he won a silver medal there. He stood third at the World Allround Championships. He later signed a contract with the Dutch TVM-team at the end of the season.
