Jenny Slate, 34, is a comedian and actress from Milton, Massachusetts. Best known for her recent roles in ‘Obvious Child’ and ‘Parks and Recreation,’ Slate has had an varied career including voice over acting, stand up comedy and writing. She has been dating ‘Captain America’ star Chris Evans for over a year.

Slate grew up in the suburbs of Boston, with older sister Abigail and younger sister Stacey. She was the valedictorian of her high school class and then moved on to Columbia University where she studied literature. Slate’s next role came in 2012, when she voiced Ted’s Mom in ‘The Lorax.’ She also got another voice over part on ‘Bob’s Burgers,’ on which she plays Tammy. Slate’s performance was the highlight of the film, and earned her a nomination for a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy, which she won.
