Fischer Sports

Recently in an article published in 'Fischer Sports,' it was mentioned that Johannes Thingnes Boe definitely has no problems with the Anterselva altitude. The article read, "Johannes Thingnes Boe showed a class of his own with his performance. This, together with a miss, meant a twelve-second lead over Martin Fourcade (FRA). Arnd Peiffer secured the third place after clean shooting, although he had to wait long until the podium was safe. As he was able to benefit from the French on the final lap, the German could defend the podium against Anterselva specialist Anton Shipulin, who had one visit in the penalty loop. Lars Helge Birkeland (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) finished sixth ahead of Julian Eberhard (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) and Anton Babikov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots). Vladimir Chepelin (BLR, Fischer skis and boots) was ninth followed by Ondrej Moravec (CZE, Fischer)."

Recent stint at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games

Johannes Thingnes Boe claims victory in the Men's Olympic 20km individual biathlon event at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. “It’s the biggest day of my life, I’m lucky to experience it,” an elated Boe said in an interview. “This is special, gold is the biggest dream,” he said before bursting into tears. Boe went out ninth of the 86 starters and had an early miss which left him with plenty of work to do, but his powerful skiing earned him back the time lost due to his errant shooting and he could even afford another late miss as he was already much ahead. “I had a great day, quite simply. It was a bit of luck, but also skill,” Boe said and added, “I had an inner desire to make it happen - that it went well is amazing.”
