Susannah Harker was born on 26th April 1965. She is an English film, television, and theatre actor. Harker was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award in 1990 for her portrayal as Mattie Storin in the teleseries, House of Cards. House of Cards was a British thriller series first aired in 1990. Susannah Harker is the daughter of actress Polly Adams and actor Richard Owens. She is the sister of fellow actress Caroline Harker. Harker was born and raised in London. She and her younger sister, Caroline were raised up as Catholics and got their education from a "strict" independent convent boarding school run by nuns in Sussex, and at the Central School of Speech and Drama in North London. Harker has performed in both contemporary and classic films and workss, on stage, in movies and in TV series. In 1990–91 she featured alongside Clive Owen in Chancer. She later played the part of Dinah Morris in the 1991 adaptation of Adam Bede. She also starred as Jane Bennet in the 1995 TV adaptation of Jane Austen's, Pride and Prejudice. She appeared as Emma Fitzgerald, who is the love interest of Superintendent Tyburn in the BBC TV series, Heat of the Sun. Heat of the sun aired in 1998. In 1996, Harker appeared in the movie, Surviving Picasso. Surviving Picasso is a 1996 Merchant Ivory film starring Anthony Hopkins as the famous painter Pablo Picasso. She also featured in the play, On the Shore of the Wide World. Her tv series, 'Pride and Prejudice' became very famous and so did her character and for some time, she came to known by the name of the movie. Harker also appeared in the movie, Intimacy in 2001. Intimacy is a movie about a man wants to know more about the nameless woman (Kerry Fox) with whom he has weekly trysts. She played the part of Sapphire in Big Finish Productions' audio revival of Sapphire & Steel, in three series of plays released on CD between 2005 and 2008. In 2003 she played the part of Clare Keightley in the audio version of the Doctor Who adventure Shada. In December 2011, Harker appeared in the BBC drama Young James Herriot. In 2012 she returned to acting on stage, playing the role of Sue in Abigail's Party. During early 2014, Harker starred in the Gate Theatre, Dublin production of The Vortex by Noël Coward. In 2015, she played the part of Miss Ella Rentheim in John Gabriel Borkman. Susannah Harker is the great-great-granddaughter of Joseph Harker who was a prominent artist and theatrical scene designer and also was a contemporary of actor-manager Henry Irving and a friend of his business partner, Dracula author Bram Stoker. She was married to Iain Glen from 1993 to 2004. The couple has one son, Finlay (born 1994). She was later in a relationship with Paul McGann from 2006 to 2008.

We have our own history to work out." His son had turned six at the time of this interview and he was very concerned about his wife and her privacy. "There is a terrible sadness but there are also all the reasons why we came together in the first place. You want to hold on to them. You don't want the experience to sour you or make you look less fondly on what you have together." said Glen on the aftermath of his divorce. He is obviously terribly sad about his divorce but the duo have decided the separation through mutual agreement. He had met Susannah Harker on the set of a thriller, The Fear, 16 years ago. They later married in 1992. Fatherhood seemed like a revelation. "I hadn't looked forward to parenthood. I don't think I knew children existed. I found it difficult to imagine myself as a father, but the moment it happened, it seemed utterly right."
