Baby Shower Party: Celebrity Moms shares their party ideas

The time to celebrate your baby's arrival has come. How better way to celebrate this beautiful moment than with a baby shower! So it's time to start thinking themes, outfits, cake, party favors... the list could go on, but let's start with these items.

You want it to be special and original and something your friends and family could enjoy and remember, right? So what can you do? Do you have any ideas yet? The internet (aka Pinterest ) has a lot of ideas on baby showers, so you can check there, but if you want to see what celebrity moms are doing, keep reading as some of them have shared their ideas.

First, let's talk outfits. What to wear as a mom-to-be during your baby shower? Let's see what outfit choices celebrity moms are wearing for this special occasion.

For Ali Fedotowsky, a favorite former bachelorette, what to wear during one of her baby showers was very important and as you can see in the image above, she nailed it. She wanted to match her look with her baby's gender, so her choice of outfit was a Floral MinkPink sundress.

She wrote about it in her blog Ali Luvs "I wanted my dress to be long (so I could wear flats) and I wanted to show off my belly. I found all of this things in THIS dress! And I'm happy that it's not maternity because this dress is special to me and I want to be able to wear it again and again."

So mommies-to.be if you're having a baby girl, take notes. The thing about being able to wear the dress again is a very good choice, don't you think?

Check out the outfit that gorgeous Victoria Secret's Angel Candice Swanepoel chose for her baby shower when she was expecting her first son. The choice was a flowy white dress that, as you can see, offset perfectly with the baby shower's decor. 

It's a sweet off-the-shoulder summer dress that puts her neck on display while giving her bump plenty of room to breath. The A-line floats from the body and is perfect whether you're pregnant or not. Thanks to the breezy, throw-on-the-go feel you can iwear it any summer and feel great!

When actress Erika Christensen (Parenthood), celebrated her daughter's arrival with a beautiful outdoor baby shower, she chose to wear a white dress that showcased her bump. She paired it with a turquoise beaded necklace and fuschia heels. To adorn her head, she wore a crown of blue and white flowers, she left her long blonde hair loose over her shoulders.

She looks lovely. Think you can match it?

Now that you have some outfit ideas, let's talk about themes... here you can be as creative as you like. Some celebrity moms have gone over the top in their choices of themes (regarding budgets), as they can afford it, good for them.

Do you fancy a princess theme baby shower? Maybe you'll get some ideas from Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's baby shower when they were expecting their daughter Luna. 

Photos of Chrissy and husband wearing bedazzled paper crowns with titles Baby Mama and Baby Papa were all over the internet. The baby shower also had some delicious and seriously cute goodies. They had a sweet table with sugar cookies adorably decorated with pink and white icing to look like onesies, princess crowns, bottles, and prams.

This could be an adorable idea for a girl baby shower, maybe you can convert a simple chair in a throne where you can sit and rule the party! 

How about a nautical theme? Actress Amy Davidson asked her good friend Kaley Cuoco to throw her a baby shower when she was expecting her son back in 2016. 

The theme is a very special one to Amy because her husband is boat captain Kacy Lockwood. It was a nod to him "My husband works on the water so they ran with the anchor theme." The decor was white and blue, and a table displayed treats with, guess what? Sailing motif.

The cake was in the shape of an anchor, and what made it more memorable, were the messages in a bottle that the guests wrote for the baby. Pretty beautiful touch, don't you think?

You don't have to have a boat captain for a husband to throw a baby shower with a nautical theme. You can do just because it sounds like a lot of fun.

Actress Blake Lively decided to throw a beautiful and timeless baby shower when she was expecting her first child. It was a woodland theme baby shower, perfect for the fall. As you can see it's full of fall things like pumpkins and caramel apples. The colors are beautiful, tones of orange, red, green, brown and yellow.

The decor of the tables was very rustic and it had wooden toys and paper lanterns. The autumn.harves-cum-woodland theme looked amazing in the images that she shared in her, now extinct lifestyle website Preserve.

Maybe thinking about throwing a fall themed baby shower? You have now the inspiration.

The next thing on the list is party favors, what to give your guests as a thank you for coming and sharing this special event with you? If you're a celebrity mom, you'll probably get some brands to sponsored your baby shower, so that the party favors are a real treat.

That was the case with country singer and actress Jana Kramer, she celebrated the arrival of her first child with the help of USANA and Sleeping Baby. So the guests went home with some amazing gifts, each guest was given a party favor consisting of a 2XU gym bag. The bags were personalized with goodies from USANA (nutritional products), Mabel's Label and Sleeping Baby items, and Tiny Devotion jewelry. Pretty amazing!

Do you like Gouda? As in the cheese for a baby name? Rebecca Minkoff's baby shower theme was based on the name her oldest son Luca wanted his baby sister to be named after! Such a cute and funny thing, right? Well don't worry, that's no the actual name of the girl, but it made for a very original baby shower theme and of course party favors.

Each guest went home with a very cute Gouda gift bag, and what was inside the bag? Treats from Henri Bendel, Soulcyle, Mast Brothers chocolate, Cat Bird jewelry and more. Not bad uh?

Maybe your budget doesn't stretch that way, but the idea of a Gouda gift bag is a very good one, maybe yours could have actual cheese inside? 

Katherine Heigl threw an amazing baby shower when she was expecting her baby boy. The guests really had a great time, and she shared all of it in her website Those Heavenly Days. 

She shared this image of all the gifts they received from guests. That stroller looks amazing and we bet there are a lot of cute onesies, and toys and baby clothes. 

It's not an obligation to bring the host a gift for the baby, but it sure is a nice gesture and some gifts could prove really helpful.

And last on our list of items for a memorable baby shower is the cake. If you already picked the theme for the baby shower it should be easy to decide on the cake, but if you haven't here are some ideas on cakes shared by some celebrity moms. 

Jessie James Decker, married to NFL player Erick Decker had to have a sports theme baby shower (that was kind of easy). The shower was thrown by her sister and the design was flawless as you can see in the image. 

Take a look at the cake, with a fun football topper, looks delicious and it blends perfectly with the decor, referee chairs, and sports pillows.

If you're not into football you could copy the design and just change the topper.

Tamera Mowry-Housley decided to celebrate the birth of her daughter with a PInk Theme baby shower. It had floral arrangements of pink and white blooms, the tables were trimmed in tutu-style skirts. The centerpiece was the cake. It was a fun oven cake, complete with a bun sitting inside the open door.
