There's more to Cher Horwitz than Clueless, 1995. Alicia Silverstone is like totally rocking the mom wave with the husband as a total grown-up, in 2017.

Alicia Silverstone, As If And Clueless: Then
Alicia Silverstone was only 18 when she hit the most amazing pay dirt ever: starring as Cher Horwitz in the timeless classic movie "Clueless." Today, at only 40 years old, she's at icon status. But how could she have known what an iconic role Cher Horwitz would be? Silverstone had only limited screen credits under her belt at 17 years old, playing the lead in three Aerosmith videos. Truth be told, like Lolita before her, these videos represented how our culture lionized the fleeting sultriness of youth, against the stultifying older men drooling over her almost underage raw vulnerability. Sex sells and America couldn't help but be captivated by her winsomeness. Ultimately, the videos, airing in heavy rotation on the fledgling MTV, catapulted Alicia Silverstone to early fame. She was still just a kid and a tomboy at heart. And from that childish base, a star was born.
"I was just kind of a tomboy and I just wasn't into it, so when we had the [Clueless] fittings, I was just like, 'What is going on? Why am I in these fittings for so long?' I just didn't get it until I saw the movie and I was just like, 'Oh I get it! The costumes are the star of the movie!"

Alicia Silverstone Husband And Kids: Totally Buggin - Now
So, what does Clueless Cher Horwitz's alter ego Alicia Silverstone do when she meets her husband, musician Christopher Jarecki? She falls in love with the rock steady, earthy musician, radio show host and actor. His band STUN was signed by Geffen records and the name stands for "Scream Towards the Uprising of Nonconformity." The band is a fusion of punk and political aggression. He's the bad boy with a vegetarian edge and that combination is what Silverstone fell instantly in love with. The activist couple had their nuptials in Santa Barbara in 2005. Alicia Silverstone gave birth to a boy, Bear Blu Jerecki in May 2011.
”He was waiting on our old wicker love seat, ring in hand, with the most beautiful proposal any best friend could ever give."

The Lolita Connection: Silverstone Vixen In The Crush
You don't need to be well-read to draw a connection between the 1993 debut of Alicia Silverstone in "The Crush," with the classic movie "Lolita." Both movies deal with an underage character that drives the older men crazy. Silverstone is a standout in this, now classic movie opposite Cary Elwes, post "The Princess Bride." Walk This Way: Silverstone And The Aerosmith Connection
Alicia Silverstone did three short film/videos with Aerosmith. The making of "Crazy" showcases Liv Tyler, Steve Tyler's daughter, who can be seen flirting with Silverstone in the video. Needless to say, the trilogy "Crazy," "Crying" and "Amazing" put Silverstone into the minds of pre-teen males world-wide and cemented her brand. Pre "Clueless" Silverstone was a star, but like Cher, was completely unaware of the effect she had on the public. And that's the endearing quality that Silverstone still has, even at 40.
“I remember I was in high school when I made it and I would wake up in the morning for school, put on the MTV countdown, and when the video would come on, I’d get so embarrassed. That’s when I would get in the shower, I remember that. Wow, that’s a long time ago.”

Batman & Robin: A Career Ending Death Curse
White hot from the success of "Clueless", Alicia Silverstone dabbled in a major budgeted movie, in 1997. The Joel Schumacher-directed albatross was called "Batman And Robin." In it, Silverstone played "Batgirl." The movie was panned, right from the get go. And we can't talk about this movie without talking about the nipple effect. George Clooney is STILL embarrassed about almost killing the franchise, which Christopher Nolan thankfully revived with Christian Bale at the helm. It's not that Silverstone was bad - the movie was filled with Uma Thurman, George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger and just died under the weight of the costumer's decision to highlight Clooney's, or rather, Batman's nipple's, in an epic fail of a movie. No plot and all nipple equals box office poison. Close the coffin. Game over.
"Let’s make it anatomical and he did the nipples and when I looked at them, I thought, that’s cool."

Alicia Silverstone Reflects On Her Own Legend
Twenty-two years on, "Clueless," the move, the vernacular and the costumes are still iconic. Alicia Silverstone, now 40 years old, is completely in love with her old persona. She gets it. And has no ego about it. The "Clueless" look is often imitated at Halloween. Recently, Alicia Silverstone surprised her friend Chrissy Teigen, as Cher. IN COSTUME. If you don't follow Chrissy Teigen on Instagram, you should hang your head in shame for being so lame - Chrissy is the shizit on Insta. Teigen is hilariously down-to-earth and keeps her status real as eff bomb, with her famous hubby, grammy winner and recording artist, John Legend. It was adorable to see Chrissy Teigen getting all fangirl crazy over Silverstone, who showed up at her house in Cher Horowitz regalia. I can't. Even. It is EVERYTHING in life.
Alicia Silverstone On Working
Because the role of Cher Horwitz in 1995's "Clueless" was so iconic, you can be forgiven for not remembering anything else. In fact, Silverstone has been working regularly on stage, TV and film, ever since her featured debut in Aerosmith's music videos in 1993, at 17 years old. Granted, the roles haven't made the same ripples that the titular character of "Cher" in "Clueless" has, but nonetheless, the actress can be proud of her varied body of work. Silverstone has racked credits from voiceover work on the video game Scooby Doo 2, all the way to the semi series regular role of "Eden" on the popular TV show, "Subergatory." Ready to tackle Hollywood as an adult, it seems, Silverstone has finally landed a supporting role in the A-list movie, starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell. Silverstone co-stars in "The Killing Of A Sacred Deer," playing the mom of a soon-to-be serial killer. She's come a long way from the teenager that lit up the screen in "Clueless," holding her own. Silverstone is back. She's ready to be seen by audiences, as an ADULT.
Mother, philanthropist, environmentalist, vegetarian, wife and animal rights activist are all adjectives you can label Alicia Silverstone with today. Where she goes from here, is going to be exactly how she entered the public conscious: a slow-burning intelligence and a completely unique heroine. To any doubters, we say a resounding: "As IF!"
