Bill Cosby is a famous American stand-up comedian, actor, musician and author. He is known for his starring role in the American television show, 'I Spy' from the 1960's. Comedian Bill Cobsy has been caught up in a media whirlwind since a few months now. He has been accused of sexual misconduct. His sex scandals date back to 1997. After the latest allegations came into picture, his wife, Camille Cosby spoke out in her husband's defense. She said, "He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew." Bill Cobsy dropped out of college while attending Temple University on Athletic scholarship. He took up a job as a bartender at a neighborhood bar. He would often fill in when the comedian booked by the bar did not show up. He soon began to gain fame at the comedy clubs. He dropped out of college in 1963 to pursue a full-time career in comedy. He got a honorary bachelors degree from the Temple University after a few years. Bill Cosby's only son was murdered. He and his wife had five children together - Erika, Erinn, Ensa, Evin, and Ennis. Sadly, his only son, Ennis, was murdered in 1997. Ennis was an aspiring teacher who was fatally shot in an attempted robbery. Bill Cosby got inspiration for his character Theo Huxtable for The Cosby Show from his son Ennis. The Cosby Show was aired from 1985 to 1992. Camille Cosby was born in 1944. She was born in Washington D.C. to parents Guy A. Hanks Sr. and Catherine C. Hanks. Most of her childhood was spent in Norbeck, Maryland. Once during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Camille Cosby revealed that she too was a college drop out. She had dropped out of college to marry Bill Cosby. She later continued her education and got a PhD in Education from the University of Massachusetts in 1992. She said, “So I went back, and when I did, my self-esteem grew. I got my master’s, then decided to get my doctoral degree. Education helped me to come out of myself, to come out of the home, because I had been raising my children. Not that that is a bad thing; it is the most difficult job I have ever had. But that was just one part of my womanness. I had to fulfill myself in other ways, to pursue my interests, to know that I could do many things,” Camille Cosby met Bill in 1963. Camille was a student at the University of Maryland. Camille met Bill on a blind date and they dated for a year before they decided to get married. Camille once got candid about her marriage and said, “I never felt overshadowed, but I looked up to Bill. He is seven years older than I, and he has always had a maturity, even when he was 26, when we married. So I respected his wisdom and his knowledge.” Camille Cosby and Bill have five children, Erika born in 1965, Erinn born in 1966, Ennis born in 1969, Ensa born in 1973 and Evin born in 1976. When Camille's only son, Ennis, was just 27 years old when he was killed. Ennis Cosby was a graduate student at the Columbia University that time. During an interview with Oprah, Camille Cosby said, “It was horror, and I couldn’t understand why this had happened. I had always taken great pride in protecting my children. I spoke to Ennis the night before he was killed and asked him to be careful about driving on the freeway in Los Angeles. So it was almost intuitive for me that something was about to happen. So then I felt bad that I didn’t stop him in some way, but I couldn’t. I was here; he was out there.” Camille Cosby works as a producer and author. Camille is the president of COC Productions and C&J Productions. Cosby has her producer credits which attribute to her wealth. After her husband's mistrial, Camille Cosby bashed the prosecutors. She issued a fiery statement saying, "How do I describe the district attorney? Heinously and exploitively ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly arrogant and collaborating with the district attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life. "Historically people have challenged injustices. I am grateful to any of the jurors who tenaciously fought to review the evidence; which is the rightful way to make a sound decision. Ultimately, that is a manifestation of justice, based on facts, not lies. As a very special friend once stated, 'truth can be subdued, but not destroyed." Cosby's statement had a lot more anger and wrath that the family had to go through during the mistrial.
