As we celebrate Pride Month, let us be more open about how blatant the entire spectrum of colors and sexual orientations have been for a long time as we learn that many of our childhood-favorite celebrities, teenage-heartthrobs and adulthood’s potential spouses were homosexual and bisexual all this time. With time, there has been an increase in the number of people who have finally revealed themselves by defying heterosexuality being the norm by stepping out of the closet. A major influence and motivation, especially for younger people, in being honest about who they are and what they love have been the singers they listen to and the artists they love to watch.

Sometimes, all it takes for someone to gather up the courage and divulge their true self is a single person showing them how being free from the restraints of a conventional society has worked out for them perfectly. Celebrities are privileged to have the right kind and the right amount of access to the public, providing them with an apt platform to help bring the much needed change.
